According to Dubai Customs Notice No. 14/2025, the UAE has extended the 10% import tariff on rebar and steel coils for another year, effective until October 12, 2026. The tariff was initially raised from 5% in January 2019, and this extension aims to continue supporting the growth of the domestic steel industry. Emirates Steel, the UAE's leading steel company, holds a significant position in the country's domestic steel market.
